Custom Cakes Glen Waverley: Delivered Free From Burwood East

Glen Waverley is roughly six kilometres south-east of our Burwood East studio — close enough that a cake leaves the bench and arrives before the buttercream has had time to think about softening. It falls inside our free ten-kilometre delivery radius.

Bakeology Studios makes custom cakes to order. There is no display cabinet and no standing stock. Every cake is built for a specific date, a specific palette and a specific number of people.

Cakes for a restaurant dinner

Glen Waverley has one thing most of our other delivery suburbs do not: Kingsway. A lot of Glen Waverley birthdays are not held at home at all — they are held at a table on Kingsway or at The Glen, with a cake carried in at the end of the meal.

That changes what works. A cake that will sit in a restaurant for two hours before it is cut needs to be structurally calm: fewer fresh elements, nothing that wilts, a design that still looks composed after being moved twice. Two practical notes if you are taking a cake to a venue. Ring ahead: most restaurants are happy to hold a cake but want to know it is coming, and some charge cakeage. And ask for a cold spot, not the kitchen pass.

Cakes for a party at home

For children's parties, the Junior Edit is the place to start. lila begins at $180, levi at $220, millie — our cow print cake — at $250, and sculpted designs like enzo at $335. Colours can be changed on almost all of them, which matters more than most people expect when there is a theme already chosen.

Delivery and pickup

Delivery to Glen Waverley is free, with the $90 minimum order that applies to every delivered cake. We deliver seven days a week.

Pickup from the Burwood East studio is also free and runs 7am to 10pm, seven days. For a Glen Waverley address that is a ten-minute drive either way, so collecting is genuinely practical here — useful if your party time is unusual or you would rather control the handover yourself.

Lead times

Two days minimum. Weekend orders close Thursday at 10pm. Fully custom designs — drawn from scratch rather than adjusted from something existing — need two to four weeks. Wedding cakes are a longer conversation again, usually twelve to eighteen months out; those live on our wedding cakes page.

Sizes, prices and servings

Five-inch from $165, serving ten to fifteen. Six-inch from $220, serving fifteen to twenty-five — the most commonly ordered size. Seven-inch from $260. Eight-inch from $350, or $395 for the tall version. Two tiers from $450, three from $800.

Flavours and what we cannot do

Classic vanilla, classic chocolate, and chocolate coffee sponges. Vanilla and chocolate fillings come included; raspberry compote, fresh strawberry, salted caramel, chocolate ganache, cookies and cream and Biscoff are premium at $15 to $30.

We do not offer eggless, gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan cakes. Nuts are not a listed ingredient in anything we make, though traces are possible.
