Mount Waverley is a short run from our Burwood East studio and sits comfortably inside the free delivery radius. So for most Mount Waverley addresses the question is not whether we can get a cake to you. It is how much notice you have, and whether you want something drawn from scratch or something already designed.

This page covers both, starting with the one most people need first.

When the party is this weekend

Most custom cakes take two to four weeks. A few do not. The weekend edit is a short list of cakes she can make on a normal week's notice: order by Thursday 10pm and the cake is ready for Saturday or Sunday.

  • etta — from $165
  • dahlia — from $170
  • elodie, cleo and ophelia — from $175
  • lila — from $180
  • evelyn and vera — from $190

They are mostly soft, floral designs, which is not an accident. Piped flowers and combed buttercream travel well and do not need the days of setting time a sculpted cake does. If one of them is close to what you want, it is the fastest honest route to a good cake.

When there is time to design something

With two weeks or more, the whole range opens up. The vintage edit suits adult birthdays — penny from $200, colette from $235, isolde from $275. The junior edit is where the children's cakes live: lottie from $205, blue the dinosaur from $285, arlo’s from $360. And the floral edit gathers the flower-led designs in one place.

For something that does not exist yet, send an enquiry with the date, a rough guest count and a picture that is close to what you are imagining. A photograph tells us more than a paragraph.

Wedding cakes are their own conversation, usually booked twelve to eighteen months ahead — start here.

Delivery to Mount Waverley

Delivery is free within 10 km of the studio, with a $90 minimum order, and that covers Mount Waverley. We deliver seven days a week. If your address turns out to sit past the free radius, we tell you the fee before you pay; the bands beyond 10 km run $30, $45, $55, $65, $75 and $85.

Collection is also free, seven days, 7am to 10pm, from the studio in Burwood East. We send the exact address once the order is confirmed. There is more on how delivery works across the area in cake delivery in the eastern suburbs, and Mount Waverley's neighbours have their own notes: Glen Waverley and Box Hill.

What moves a quote up, and what does not, is laid out in our guide to custom cake prices in Melbourne.

Flavours, and one limitation

Classic vanilla, classic chocolate and chocolate coffee sponges. Vanilla and chocolate fillings are included; raspberry compote, fresh strawberry, salted caramel, chocolate ganache, cookies and cream and Biscoff add $15 to $30. All of them are described here.

We do not make eggless, gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan cakes. Nuts are not a listed ingredient in anything we make, but traces are possible. Better to know that now than the week of the party.
